Inspired by Haruki Murakami’s Eggs and Wall speech, this speech was quoted and inspired my fellow brothers and sisters in Hong Kong during 2019 protests. During protests, we were often forced to be silent. I truly believe the Hong Kong I love, and care for still exists, we are simply afraid to show who we are because of the consequences. Please treasure the freedom that you have now, do not take little things for granted, cause once it becomes something to fight for, you truly understand its worth.
I am a Hong Konger, and I am proud to be one.
